Janice Lavonne Smith, age 86 of Nashville, left the physical world on February 9, 2014 to start her spiritual journey with God.
Janice was born to Anton Lund and Doris Manson in Plainfield, IA. Janice married the love of her life, Edice Ray Smith later in life,and they enjoyed 16 years of bliss.
In addition, Janice is survived by two daughters, Karen and Kathy Blankenship; three grandchildren, Kristin Poppe, Evan (Ashley) Stamey and Katy Poppe, and one Nashville niece, Nancy Cartwright. She is also survived by four step-sons, Larry (Diane) Smith,
Rand (Beth) Smith, Jeff (Ann) Smith and Marty (Pam) Smith, and thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren (Olivia & William Smith Olsen and Raleigh Fisher), whom she adored.
A special thanks you to Gentiva Hospice, especially Mary Boyd and the Belmont Village staff for the love and care they provided.
A celebration of life will be held at Memorial Lutheran Church on February 22, 2014 at 2 p.m., with a meal to follow.
