Mrs. Mary T. Williams
Mrs. Mary Tempa Ann Williams, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Amanda Geisler Mayes, was born near Pilot Knob, Mo., on December 6, 1878 and passed away at the home of her son, Row V. Williams, 418 S. Henry St., Farmington, on January 21, 1963, being 74 years, one month, and 15 days of age.
She was united in marriage to John Williams, on August 12, 1897, at King School, near Doe Run. He preceded her in death several years ago. Six children were born to this union, all of whom survive. Besides Roy V. Williams, before mentioned, they are:
Leo Williams and Evelyn (Mrs. Clem) McDowell, of Route One, Ironton;
Henry of Iron Mountain; Arthur, of Yerington, Nev.; and
Mrs. Bertha McDowell, of Farmington;
also two step-children, Mrs. Edith Mitchell of Cantwell, and Mrs. E~~ Key of Farmington;
two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gibson of St. Louis and Mrs. Lena Hodges, of Potosi.
Funeral services will be held at Pendleton Church of Doe Run, this afternoon, Thursday, January 24, at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F Cemetery with Cozean Funeral Services in charge.
